Charlie Freedman is the Deputy General Counsel for the Malouf Companies. Charlie oversees the government relations teams and works with supply chain and global contracts. In 1991, Charlie and his two brothers founded Downeast Home & Clothing retail stores.  The idea grew into 40 locations spanning Utah, Idaho, Arizona and Nevada. Downeast was acquired in 2020 by Sam and Kacie Malouf, Co-owners of Malouf Companies.  Currently, Charlie is serving as a member of the board for the World Trade Center organization. He is a graduate of both Brigham Young University and Brigham Young Law School.  Charlie and wife, Shannon are the parents of four boys.
