Jon Cox

Jon Cox is the VP of Government Affairs for Rocky Mountain Power. He previously served as a member of the Utah House of Representatives, the Sanpete County Commission, and was a staff member for both Utah Governor Gary Herbert and former US Senator Bob Bennett.

Rocky Mountain Power is a division of PacifiCorp, one of the lowest-cost electricity producers in the United States, serving more than 2 million customers in six states. Rocky Mountain Power serves 1.2 million customers in Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho. Sister division, Pacific Power, serves 816,000 customers in Oregon, Washington, and northern California. The utility owns or has interests in a diverse portfolio of generating facilities, including coal, natural gas, hydroelectric, wind-powered, solar, and geothermal, with a net owned capacity of 11,152 megawatts. PacifiCorp has approximately 65,300 miles of distribution line and 17,645 miles of transmission line—more than any other single entity in the West.
