Ryan Westwood is an entrepreneur who puts vision, culture, diversity, and inclusion at the forefront of his business endeavors. He has co-founded and successfully exited three companies, the most recent being Simplus, which achieved a 3-year growth rate of 1,578 percent and acquired seven companies before being acquired by Infosys for $250M.
Westwood’s entrepreneurial leadership extends beyond his own companies. He feels a strong sense of obligation to the entrepreneurship community and is supporting the overall community in several ways. He is an investor in 30 high-growth start-ups, many in his home state of Utah. Ten of these have achieved unicorn status thus far. Westwood is a public company director at Banner Ventures. He is actively mentoring several entrepreneurs, with a special focus on helping women entrepreneurs grow their businesses and leadership skills. He has also served in several community leadership capacities, such as board member at Silicon Slopes, chairman of the Utah Venture Entrepreneur Forum and entrepreneur in residence at Utah Valley University. He has been honored as a 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and 2021 Best CEO for Women by Comparably.
